TriAlliance Volunteers

  • Cara Smith - Head of TriAlliance

Hi, I’m Cara Smith! My husband, Spencer, and I have lived in the neighborhood for 16 years, and we have one son, Owen, who’s 8. I grew up in Lake Highlands and went to Texas Tech University before moving back here to start our family. Some of my favorite childhood memories are of trick-or-treating in this neighborhood with friends, and it’s been so special to watch Owen making his own memories here now.

We love spending time at the lake—wake surfing, tubing, and enjoying time on our boat. Spencer runs a small firewood company as well as a construction business, and I own a manufacturers’ representative group that specializes in complex medical equipment.

  • Zach Paulsgrove - It/ Systems

  • Courtney Harris - Accounting

Courtney Harris has lived on Drumcliife Lane for almost 10 years with her husband and son. She got involved with Tri-Alliance in 2025 in the effort to help keep it going so we can continue to deter crime from our beautiful neighborhood.

  • Sarah Veirs - Communications

Sarah has lived in the TriAlliance neighborhood since 2021 with her husband, Hunter. She has two young children, works from home and loves being a part of the Lake Highlands community.

She joined the TriAlliance in 2022 after being followed by a prowler on an early morning walk with her standard Poodle, Norman. If not for Norman and neighbors who stopped to check on her, it could have turned out to be a very dangerous situation.

“I am passionate about keeping our neighborhood safe for our families and children – we love being outdoors and walking the neighborhood and deterring crime is a top priority as a homeowner and parent".

  • Brenda Knee - Accounting

Brenda has lived on Dunmore Drive for 40+ years and support making sure our Administrative Costs (and Patrol Officers) are fully paid.

“I have always been active in the neighborhood and my sincere wish is that we can all come together to help curb the crime and continue to be a place where families wish to live.”

  • Tiffany Lawson - Memberships

  • Sabra Girard - Memberships

  • Carol Toler - Communications

“I support Tri-A because safety and security are critical to the pursuit of happiness for my family.”

Carol and her family enjoy playing cornhole in the yard with their four grown kids and lingering out front on the veranda.

We love pushing our new grandsons to Arbor Park in “car-car” and watching them play with other kids. Tri-A security patrols keep our neighborhood safe, improve quality of life and boost property values.

  • Lindsey Chase - Tri-Alliance Security Liaison

Lindsey not only serves as a volunteer for the Tri-Alliance Security Patrol, but on the Highlands West HOA as well!

She’s committed to making sure that members of the TriAlliance receive timely updates on initiatives, security priorities, and organizational goals.

Having Lindsey serving on both neighborhood initiatives means she’s able to help facilitate alignment across boards by relaying meeting outcomes, addressing inter-organizational concerns, and supporting informed, collaborative decision-making.

  • Dan Walsh - General Support

Dan supports the TriAlliance as the officer volunteer in charge of Yard Signs for members that participate in improving safety for all neighbors.

“My spouse and I believe that the Tri Alliance is important to maintain a safe neighborhood and it also strengthens neighbor relations through regular communications and shared values of safety.”
